When it comes to value, Ramada St. James doesn’t disappoint. For just $99, I booked a room with two double beds, but to my surprise, I got much more than expected. The "double beds" actually turned out to be two separate bedrooms, each with its own private door, key, and sink area. Between the rooms was an adjoining door that could be locked for extra privacy. Each room was equipped with all the essentials: a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, closet, A/C and heating unit, ceiling fan, and—of course—free Wi-Fi. The master room boasted a full bathroom, making it a perfect setup for friends who want to share a space but still have their own personal haven. And if you're looking to indulge, the hotel also offers a luxurious 1,300-square-foot Presidential Suite, sure to impress.

Known for its hauntings, the hotel has become somewhat of a hotspot for paranormal enthusiasts. I personally felt an odd presence in my room, but rather than feeling scared, I was fascinated. It’s all part of the charm at this historic landmark.
